I was approached by Pure Pro Cleaning, a family owned Canadian cleaning company. They were interested in a “super green” site with a nice homepage slider.
I decided to create a website with a body close to 960 pixels in order to provide great browser usability, since the client did not opt for a mobile version of the site. During a consulting session, I suggested running Adwords targeted to desktop only visitors, until they were ready for a mobile compatible website.
During our design element, the client expressed interested in a repeating grid background, a fresh green featured boxes on the homepage, blog functionality, and a google map alongside a custom contact form.
The client was also worried about updating the site, because they want to run monthly promotions in the future. They don’t want to be nickle and dimed to death by update fee’s every month. I was able to provide them with a custom CMS (content management system) so they could update their pages themselves and post to a blog. Every part of the CMS was branded with their logo and creatives to their employees will feel at home when assisting on blog duty.
I also assisted with the logo, and captured a feeling of both the companies green and sustainable practices, family values, and culture of responsibility.
I also was tasked with writing the website’s content. I had the pleasure of interviewing the owner, and captured everything I needed to write great on-page content that captures the companies values and vision.
Lastly we assisted them with finding a domain name and hosting. We managed the registration and yearly management of the domain, along with hosting on our own servers. We provided the client unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth to ensure they don’t hit a server limit when they aggressively advertise.
I believe the final product matched the clients vision exactly. My favorite part was what the client had to say about the end product.
